Shopping with 2 kids while feeling like poo is…difficult but manageable. I have 2 great kids! I haven’t forgotten, though, that they are still human and are BOYS and all that comes with the package. 🙂
Noah’s 4 month well-check went wonderful. His Dr did not detect a heart murmur this time so thank God. This makes for a very grateful and happy Mommy. He is 17 lbs and height and weight are in the 95th percentile. His head circumference is 45 cm. *Measurements are slightly off because I have a horrible memory and the paper is already filed* The nurses had to do a double take at his age when they got all of his measurements. He has met all of his 4 month mile stones (focusing on things, grabbing for things, rolling over…) and all of his 6 month milestones (rolling back over, moving things from hand to hand and more that I can’t think of at the moment) except for sitting up on his own and eating baby food. In fact, he does sit up on his own for just a few seconds……so we are definitely continuing to work on that. 🙂
Matthew was such a bog helper for Mommy at the checkup. He is a wonderful big brother to Noah.
Noah is a growing and thriving little baby. Oh and he is teething…at 4 months old!
I can’t believe that when I did a little shopping today (Friday) at Walmart (while waiting on my prescription to be filled) that I was in search of 6-9 month clothes for my 4 month old.
Speaking of clothes, I actually found matching shirts for my boys at Wal-Mart, in the right sizes, nonetheless.
That’s a first! Well, Matthew’s is the right size because he’s a skinny-minny. Noah’s, on the other hand, is a 12 month shirt but i figured he’d be able to wear it by the end of the month anyway. And if you know me at all, you know that I can be cheesy and one of my cheesy quirks is that I like to match my kids. Not every day, just every now and then. Especially right now when my oldest doesn’t care what he wears (to an extent).
Noah’s 1st feeding went great. Started off rocky……but ended well. When I first put a spoonful in his mouth, he didn’t really know what to do with it, as assumed…But once we got the hang of it, smooth sailing. =) The pediatrician advises to give him the cereal before nursing so he will be more apt to eat it. So that’s what I did and just like my first born, it didn’t go too well. So I started nursing him for a couple minutes, took him off and back to the Bumbo chair. I started with just a taste on the spoon in hopes that he would suck it up and he did. So I gave him another spoon and then another, then another… It went great after the rocky start. He also burped 2 times while eating. Oh and I forgot the bib. <—-oh well. I’m very proud of him. Matthew’s 1st cereal feeding didn’t go as smoothly, in that that he wore ALL of his cereal and maybe a tiny bit was actually swallowed. I know I shouldn’t compare my children but I do only because I find their differences interesting. I can’t wait til tonight’s feeding. His 1st one was just that fun. 🙂
